We have all been there. It's October 30th and suddenly you need a Halloween costume. All the stores are closed and even two-day shipping from Amazon cannot save you. However, do not worry, you already have multiple costumes in your closet. You just do not realize it. Below are costumes that you can make out of staple wardrobe pieces you already have in your closet.
Holly Golightly- Breakfast at Tiffany’s
The ultimate glamorous city girl is Audrey Hepburn’s Golightly. However, you do not need to spend a million to look for this costume. All you need to do is go into your closet and pull out a simple black dress, a chunky necklace and oversized sunglasses and you have a costume. Throw your hair into an updo and you are good to go!
Sheet Ghost
There is nothing more classic and simple than a traditional sheet ghost. Just grab an extra white sheet from your closet and cut out mouth and eye holes. Done!
Cowboy/Cowgirl
Show your school spirit every day of the year! Simply grab a flannel shirt, jeans and cowboy boots and you are good to go. Bonus points if you have a big belt buckle or hat to go with it! Yeehaw!
Pageant Queen
Mid-length and long dresses have been incredibly popular in recent years with styles for all seasons. These dress staples can also come in handy for Halloween as well. Grab whatever midi or floor-length dress that you have, heels, and add a tiara or sash if you have one and you are done!
Y2K Celebrity
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past year, you will know that Y2K fashion is back in full force. Why not have your Halloween costume be on-trend as well? Grab a matching lounge set that you have and done!
Tennis Player
Grab a tennis or pleated skirt, white tennis shoes and a white collared shirt to make this look! Top it off with a chunky pearl necklace and earrings and you are ready to go!
